Tuesday evening I arrived back home to the country place, ran a short 30 mins / 5km in the morning, followed by a full work day, hosted a halloween party with 11 kids and 10 adults, briefly slept, another 30 minute run in the very very chilly morning sunrise, and another packed work day.
As is my habit, Mon/Tue/Wed have been no carb, and as from today it is high carb (the more pleasurable bit of taper week I have to say). At some point I need to visit Nice to pick up the race packet - maybe after work today if I can manage it, and then as much sleep as possible between now and Sunday.
Whatever happens, its going to be good fun. 10000+ runners, a couple of my buddies included, and when we get to Cannes a nice lunch on the Prom there with the families.
It may seem that the running is merely adding to the stress of my life, but in reality it keeps me sane. I am able to mull things over in peace, and destress, rather than the other way around. Plus it means that for 3 days before a race I can eat what I like guilt free. That can't be bad! ;-)
